The name behind the brand

Hutchinson West is named after my grandfather, Arthur Hutchinson West — a countryman through and through, happiest on a riverbank with a rod or out on a shoot in the English countryside. Hutchinson was his mother's maiden name.

I only discovered his full name after my father passed away. Sorting through his apartment in Hong Kong, I found his birth certificate, and there it was: Arthur Hutchinson West. It felt like a name that deserved to be carried forward.

That's where our embroidered pheasant insignia comes from too — a nod to the country life Arthur loved, and the sporting traditions that still shape everything we make.

Founded in London in 2020, Hutchinson West creates clothing for anyone who values timeless style, quality and quiet confidence — pieces that move easily between town and country.

Our ambition is to grow from London into a global name synonymous with quality and style, while never losing sight of where the name came from.
